Jude Bellingham, Sofyan Amrabat or Konrad Laimer – these are three players from the list of five potential signings that Liverpool are currently eyeing. What other footballers are involved and can the Reds bring in any of these five?

The English big club is only sixth in the Premier League table with 25 points after fifteen games played, and they are an abysmal 15 points behind first-placed Arsenal. So it is not surprising that Liverpool will be one of the active units in the January transfer window. What players does coach Jürgen Klopp have in his sights?

Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund)

Liverpool already brought in an absolutely brilliant signing a few days ago. The Anfield Road football giant acquired the young and very talented Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven. The transfer fee? £44 million plus other bonuses.

But it seems the Reds are far from finished. The first of the five players currently on coach Klopp’s radar is Dortmund’s Bellingham. Although Borussia don’t want to sell him until the summer, if a reasonable offer comes in, it is possible that the German club will consider it.

It should be added, Manchester City are also interested in Bellingham. However, according to recent reports, the player himself is said to prefer Liverpool. According to Goal, however, Real Madrid are leading the battle for Bellingham. The Royal club would like to get this hot acquisition into their ranks.

Enzo Fernandez (Benfica Lisbon)

Argentine midfielder Fernandez is also strongly linked with Liverpool. He was an integral part of the line-up during Argentina’s pursuit of the World Cup title. And based on his performances, it’s not surprising that Fernandez not only won the award for the best young player of the World Cup, but also that he will be a highly sought-after player in the upcoming transfer window.

The twenty-one-year-old only arrived at Benfica last summer, but reports from Portugal suggest that he is already ready to make the next step, with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea all expressing an interest in him.

And it seems that the Blues are the most serious aspirants to engage him. In fact, Chelsea are ready to offer the Lisbon outfit £106 million, which would pay Fernandez’s exit clause.

Sofyan Amrabat (Fiorentina)

The Fiorentina midfielder has been linked with interest from several European clubs, including Liverpool, following his performance at the recent World Cup in Qatar. The Moroccan international’s price tag currently stands at around £35 million and with his age (26) he is ready for a bigger transfer.

However, Amrabat will not be a transfer priority for Liverpool as Fabinho already fills a similar role in the team. Then again, Stefan Bajcetic is also emerging as a big talent. Amrabat has played 78 games for Fiorentina so far, but he has only scored one goal and collected 22 yellow cards.

Moises Caicedo (Brighton)

As this list of potential January signings for Liverpool already suggests, coach Klopp is focusing mainly on midfield after engaging Gakpe. After all, the defence is well stocked and it is the arrival of the Dutch super-talent that has greatly boosted the Reds’ attacking quality.

Caicedo is one of the players who attract the most attention in the Premier League. As reported by Goal just now, Liverpool scouts were duly impressed by the Ecuador star and also Brighton’s transfer policy talks about bringing up players and then selling them.

Whether it was Ben White, Yves Bissouma or Marc Cucurella in the past. However, a potential transfer to Anfield is likely to be heavily influenced by the transfer fee. Brighton are very likely to demand over £50 million for him.

Konrad Laimer (RB Leipzig)

The last name on the list. Liverpool tried to bring Laimer back in August, but back then the German club had no interest in selling the Austrian international. However, he is only under contract at Leipzig until June next year and if the Reds try to bring the player in again, it is quite possible that this time it will work.

But let’s not forget that Leipzig are facing a Champions League semi-final against Manchester City in the spring and rather than leaving at a reduced price, Leipzig will want to keep him. However, in the event of failure, there would be others playing in a similar position.

And these include Leicester’s Youri Tielemans, AC Milan’s Ismael Bennacer, Dortmund’s Mahmoud Dahoud and Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot.
