American youngsters in the Bundesliga. Who has emerged as the greatest talent?

The days when Pele and George Best were running around the pitches of the American MLS are a few years behind us. Back then, even a few hungry heads for big money gave up their goodwill. Why? The plan was to make the nickname “soccer” the national sport.

The days when Pele and George Best were running around the pitches of the American MLS are a few years behind us. Back then, even a few hungry heads for big money gave up their goodwill. Why? Theplan was to make the nickname soccer” the national sport.

The Brazilian, English or Swedish outreach set the current of time in motion. But at great cost, after less than 30 years. The United States is no longer just about ice hockey, baseball or American football. Now it’s football’s turn.

Thanks to long patience, there have been stories of many young boys showing their talents across the pond. Germany has become their promised place. A country brimming with beer and with the best academies in the world, encouraging the world’s best hidden talents to train there.

Talented footballers now play in the Premier League, Serie A and the teeming Bundesliga. The domination of the American national team is slowly approaching. We may well see the very peak of this at the 2026 World Cup, coincidentally in the USA, Mexico and Canada.

Great age with experience will be two key factors in four years. Let’s take a look now at the stars that are shining and rewriting history in bold letters. For they have a chance to show what elbow grease is all about, thanks to our neighboring state.

Weston McKennie – 23 years old

When he arrived at Juventus Turin four years ago many people shook their heads. See, in his stint at Schalke he used seventy games to score just four goals! Only that wasn’t the reason that earned him his move to Italy. His approach at the midfielder position, where he is most often seen at the defensive post, shows just what makes him so brilliant. A box to box player who has vision across the width of the pitch.

Giovanni Reyna – 19 years old

To have seventeen starts for Borussia Dortmund’s main team at the age of nineteen is a piece of work. Even more so when you can establish yourself as an offensive midfielder. He is great with his left and right foot, orchestrates the game and can’t stand the sight of the other team with ball control on their kicks. He scored his first goal at the age of eighteen. A brilliant youngster with huge potential.

Christian Pulisic – 23 years old

One, two, three and he’s gone. Preferably at a big club like Dortmund or Chelsea. You will experience the same during the game. Developed his magic under Thomas Tuchel in Germany, now after a few years at Chelsea.

Is that working for him? Of course it does! His first touch, agility with pace give him the rank of a first class midfielder. The American national team always bets the house on him. He will only return the favor, like winning CONCACAFU in June 2021.

Tyler Adams – 22 years old

With his nickname “American Red Bull”, he is gaining popularity among RP Leipzig fans. Like the other players mentioned, he plays as a spitballer monitoring the game from the middle of the field. He literally loves it when he can help his team to break through with his sprint. With one pass, he is also able to change the course of the action. Great kicking technique adds to his career exactly what few players have.

Josh Sargent – 21 years old

The youthful Sargent is an accurate example of where a man can go in three years of hard work. Since training with PSV Eindhoven and Schalke 04 in the final, he has anchored Bremen as of January 2018. He worked his way up to the striker position to a successful transfer to Norwich City.

He went on to pursue his dream of playing in the Premier League. Whether the sparkle in his eye went out after halfway through the season is unclear. But he won’t tire anyone out with his running style.
