Another investment from Ryan Reynolds, or rather an investment group that includes a Hollywood star. The latter invested 200 million euros in the Alpine F1 team, giving the French stable a substantial injection of cash.

A group of three American investment firms has taken a 24% stake in the Alpine F1 team, investing €200 million in the French stable.

The group includes Otro Capital, RedBird Capital Partners and Maximum Effort Investments. Much has been written about the latter company in particular in recent times.

RedBird owns the Italian football club AC Milan, where things are really happening at the moment. However, in addition, the American company also co-owns Liverpool, Toulouse and the Boston Red Sox.

And finally, a third company is owned by the famous Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds, who has big plans for the English team Wrexham AFC.

This 200 million euro deal ultimately valued Alpine at around 900 million euros, as ESPN has already reported.

So this is another significant amount of money for Alpine. However, despite being a factory team, the French stable is currently only fifth in the Constructors’ Cup. So whether this additional money will help Alpine to improve its performance is questionable.

“Formula 1 and Alpine are strategic assets for the Renault Group. In the last two years, we have reinvigorated the Alpine brand, leveraging its iconic A110 sports coupe and strengthening it by entering Formula 1, where we want to fight for the championship,” Renault Group CEO Luca de Meo said in a press release.

The new partnership will accelerate the development of Alpine F1 by diversifying revenue streams and increasing brand value,” he added.

Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi concluded by saying that the companies are already big and experienced players in the sport. According to him, this merger will help to boost Alpin’s performance at all levels. In particular, in marketing and media strategy.
