Alert in Manchester! The English media is reporting that Erik ten Hag has lost half his cabin. Is his demise imminent? We know from history that he’s got a few more weeks
Erik ten Hag got his first really big opportunity at a top club. After a successful first season, however, a cold shower came and the light at the end of the tunnel is still not in sight. On the contrary, the English media is reporting that the Dutch coach has lost half of his cabinet. How close is he to being sacked?

The current season
This season has started as badly for Manchester United as the last one. In the Champions League, they won only once in 5 games in a relatively playable group. And that was while saving 3 points at the very end with Andre Onan’s caught penalty.
In the EFL Cup, the Red Devils only reached the second round, where they faced a stronger Newcastle. The same team was behind their 6th league defeat this season. Manchester United are now in 7th place in the Premier League. But that’s definitely a great position for the kind of performances they put on the pitch.
Losing the cabin
It was pointed out early on in his engagement that ten Hag admittedly managed to produce some magnificent football with Ajax. It’s just that more factors came together. But it certainly can’t be said that this should somehow diminish his qualities.
However, it’s a different story at Manchester United when the Hag has to manage one star alongside another. A number of stars have been burnt on this one, and the problems with Cristiano Ronaldo last year have already suggested that it won’t be easy for the 53-year-old coach.
Unfortunately for all the club’s fans, this has been confirmed and it has continued with Jadon Sancho. Now there are reports in England that he has even lost half of his cabinet already. Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol revealed more:
“Several players are not happy with the style of play. They also don’t like the overly demanding training sessions when they run too many metres. They don’t even know what it’s good for. Some players tried to talk to the coach, but Hag is the kind of coach who does things his own way.”
Sky Sports aptly added match data to this comment. Manchester United have run an average of 110.8km this season, which ranks them as high as 12th. So the mileage is certainly not reflected in the games, quite the opposite in fact. However, this reflects what is happening on the pitch, as it is often written about that the players look committed.
Erik ten Hag: The last few weeks at Old Trafford?
The above tweet is very apt to compare the news regarding the loss of the cabin. Every time this has happened to a coach, they have been sacked within weeks by the Manchester United management.
Given the aforementioned performances on the pitch, not much change can be expected. In addition, the Red Devils will have a very difficult series of games against tough opponents. And the question is how long everyone can stand to watch.
History shows us how things have happened. If the Hag could stay at the helm of Manchester United until the end of the season, he would be the first to do so since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure.
