Albania unexpectedly hold second place in the table. After seven rounds of qualifying, it has a one-point lead over third-placed Poland, so the barrage is within reach. The dark horse of the qualification even won the last three matches.
Poland was counting on fighting for the first place, but in the final they will be glad for the barrage. Lewandowski and co. have extinguished their bad start with ten points from the last four games, yet they are only third. And they still have Hungary breathing down their necks.
Sokol Cikalleshi is the star of the home team, having scored four goals and assisted once in qualifying. Ferencváros winger Myrto Uzuni had a hand in five of Albania’s goals (3+2).
Poland is led by two goal scorers. Robert Lewandowski scored six times, while Adam Buksa, who plays in MLS, scored five times. The talented winger Karol Swiderski has also come into excellent form.
Albania boasts an excellent defence and has not scored a goal in three matches.
However, it will have to pick on Poland, averaging 4.1 goals per game since the end of the Euros.
Given Lewandowski’s form and Poland’s overall attack, I recommend backing the visitors to win.
