Already in Sparta, there was a long speculation about where Adam Hložek would go. In the end, he chose Bayer Leverkusen and it seems to have been a really good choice.
The Czech striker has been starting regularly, even if only from the bench at some stage of the season. However, at 20 years of age, this is certainly not unusual.
He has scored five goals in the Bundesliga, the most recent last weekend when he helped Leverkusen beat Leipzig, with whom Bayer are pulling for the cup places.
Although for much of the autumn Leverkusen were dropping points and it looked like a struggle to stay up, today the situation is different and judging by the form of the last ten games Hložek’s team, along with Borussia, are the best in the whole league.
But back to Hložek, he has been praised a lot for his work lately, even his agent Pavel Paska, who has been looking after him for several years, has joined in.
“They knew what they were getting into. They saw his potential. They also took care of him. They are very satisfied. Adam is disciplined, humble, he does everything the coach or the people at the club say. He is adapted to the team,” he told Sport.cz.
“He works for the team. When he was at Sparta, he changed positions, maybe three substitutions per game. Adam is a complex player, that’s why he played different positions in Leverkusen. He is used to changing positions from Sparta, otherwise it would be very difficult,” he added.
Leverkusen have seven games left before the end of the season if they do not qualify for the Europa League finals. The luck is rather in his favour, so we can expect to see Hložek in the European Cup next season.
