After another loss, Žižkov is close to relegation to the ČFL. Fans call for Pulpito to be sacked

The iconic Czech football brand FK Viktoria Žižkov is going through a difficult time. Despite a big winter reinforcement of the squad, they are not able to get out of the last place in the second league table and 10 rounds before the end they are 10 points behind the rescue. And the fans are calling for Martin Pulpit to be sacked.

Pulpit took over the team at the end of October, when Viktoria was in second to last place in the table with 8 points, only Třinec was worse off with 7 points. His task was clear, to drag the Prague team to calm waters.

But he failed to do that at all. And it wasn’t helped by a big reinforcement in the winter break, when 12 newcomers came to Seifertka. Žižkov won only a point from four matches in the spring for a draw with Ústí nad Labem, lost to Příbramí, Sparta B and last Saturday morning to Vyškov.

The last game was very unlucky for Viktoria. The home side took the lead, but before half-time Vojtech Novák, a guest from Bohemians, equalised. But in the 86th minute Daniel Soungole scored an own goal to give Vyškov the win.

And they had to sound the alarm quickly under the Žižkov tower. Viktorka are in the last place of the FNL table and are already 10 points behind the rescue.

Viktoria are also 6 points behind second to last Chrudim. And to save themselves, they have to push Příbram or Třinec below them, with only ten rounds left. And more bad news for Žižkov fans, the Prague team will face Vlašimí and Brno, the third and first teams in the table.

Žižkov fans, who started calling for the sacking of coach Pulpit after the loss to Vyškov, can no longer stand by and watch this situation. Under his command, Viktoria won only 3 points in 8 rounds for three goalless draws. Not once have they celebrated a win and scored only 3 goals.

The experienced defensive coach has failed to move the team forward and relegation to the CFL is mercilessly approaching. Can Zizkov still rise or will it move down a level?
