Bayern Munich after 12 years without a trophy? Thomas Tuchel is facing a serious problem
Germany’s biggest football team is in real danger of going without a single trophy for the first time in twelve years. Bayern Munich are currently not doing well in any of the competitions, which is a big problem for coach Tuchel.

Bayern Munich without a trophy?
This is not what they are used to in Germany’s third largest city. Bayern have been rolling in the Bundesliga continuously since 2013. But so far, it looks like a 12th title may not be in the cards. The Champions League is also uncertain.
The reign of the giant from Munich was last interrupted by Borussia Dortmund under the leadership of Jürgen Klopp, now Leverkusen is looking for the German title for a change. It would be the first ever league triumph for the North Rhine-Westphalia city.
The speculation about Tuchel’s dismissal was greatly strengthened last weekend, when Leverkusen literally “wiped out” their rivals 3-0 and jumped five points in the table. After yesterday’s triumph in Heidenheim (2:1), they already have an eight-point lead. Bayern also lost to Lazio in the Champions League semi-finals in Rome on Wednesday.
Harry Kane’s form
“Leverkusen put in an excellent performance. They were up against a bloodless Bayern side. I didn’t feel any strength from Thomas Tuchel’s team,” said Jaromir Bosak in the Water Carriers podcast, with journalist colleague Luděk Mádl echoing him.
In Munich, the form of cannonballer Harry Kane is being discussed ahead of Sunday’s game in Bochum. He has scored an incredible twenty-four league goals in twenty-one games since his transfer from Tottenham, but the team as a whole is not doing well.
“Harry will take care of himself. He doesn’t need me. He’s not happy in the game with the connection with the rest of the team. But neither are we. I’ve rarely seen such a disconnect between training and games.
The way Harry scores goals in training and the way he throws away his chances in the game, it’s an incredible difference,” Bayern coach Tuchel commented on his star at the pre-match press conference.
The Munich club has already had to endure elimination from the national cup by third-tier Saarbrücken. Losing the league title would certainly have consequences.
