Adam Hložek is again nominated for the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month! This prestigious poll follows clear rules, as not only fans vote, but also clubs and experts. His competition this time is the young star Karim Adeyemi or Arne Engels.

Every month, the Bundesliga announces the Rookie of the Month poll, which has clearly defined rules. The player must be under 23 years of age on the match day of the 1st round of the new season.

He must also not have played in the Bundesliga in any of the previous seasons, except for players who have played less than 450 minutes. Youngsters who have occasionally been given an opportunity from the bench are also given a chance.

Adam Hložek was also in the nomination in the last edition, which was in November. However, that time the winner was Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe, who had also won a month earlier.

In the second nomination, Hložek will not have it any easier in the competition. Also due to his great popularity, Karim Adeyemi, the Borussia Dortmund striker, is the favourite.

The twenty-one-year-old just hit the net for his Leverkusen side in January, and added an assist against Augsburg. In terms of these numbers, he is in the same position as the Czech forward.

Nineteen-year-old Belgian and tenacious runner Arne Engels is more of an outsider, he managed to score one assist in January, but other aspects of his game also adorn him.

How does one vote in the poll? 40% of the votes are taken by the fans on the Rookie Award page. This is followed by 30% of the votes from clubs and the remaining 30% from experts.

Previous winners of the Rookie of the Month Award are Lee Buchanan of Werder Bremen, Tom Krauss of Schalke 04 and the twice-mentioned Edimbe.
