According to the Italian media, AS Roma will get a great signing in the summer transfer window. The Roman club has reportedly agreed on the transfer of Houssem Aouar from Lyon.

According to Sky Sport Italia, AS Roma have fully agreed on the summer transfer of Houssem Aouar from Lyon. This would be a great reinforcement for the Italian outfit, as the 24-year-old midfielder is one of the French club’s most promising prospects.

Aouar moved from the youth team to Lyon’s A-team in 2017. Since then, he has featured in 231 competitive games in an Olympique Lyon jersey, scoring 41 goals and 36 assists.

However, in the current season, Aouar has only played 14 league games with a record of 1+1. It must be noted, however, this season has been complicated by several injuries. Aouar did not start the opening games of Ligue 1 due to an ankle injury.

He also suffered from muscle injuries later on in the French top flight. The Algerian midfielder’s current contract with Lyon expires at the end of June this year, so he should come to Roma as a free agent.

Another Italian site Calciomercato, on the other hand, reported a month ago that Aouar has already undergone medical tests with the Giallorossi.

The club’s management is then working on other potential summer free transfers, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

Another who is out of contract with his current employer is Evan N’Dicka from Eintracht Frankfurt. However, Barcelona are also interested in his services. The alternative for the Romans is Ramy Bensebaini from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

In attack, Roberto Firmino, who has been linked with a Liverpool exit, could be a potential new acquisition in the event of Andrea Belotti and Tammy Abraham leaving. However, according to Italian media, his salary could be a problem.
