AC Milan is looking for a new coach! The club’s management has lost patience with the current coach, Pioli already has several offers

AC Milan have not had the most successful season, with coach Stefano Pioli playing a large part in this. The Italian giant’s management has clearly had enough and is planning to part ways with the manager.

In Milan, they can thank him especially for his work in the 2021/22 season, when the Rossoneri won the title after many years, although Zlatan Ibrahimovic also deserves a lot of credit. However, Stefano Pioli did not record another success with AC.

There are indeed many negatives associated with the current manager, especially in the last year. Whether it is the unfulfilled goals of the club, the gameplay, which is not worth much in the Rossoneri’s performance in a large number of cases, or also the constant losses in the Derby della Madonnina.

And it was just one more defeat that Pioli’s squad notched up on Monday night, when Inter dominated the Milan derby 2-1. The Nerazzurri thus won their 20th Scudetto overall. AC fans are understandably also taking it badly that this happened after losing the derby.

Another negative is that Pioli simply does not know how to work with young talent. He incomprehensibly lets players playing in form sit on the bench, he and his colleagues also bear part of the blame for the huge number of injured players, which AC have had major problems with this season.

So it’s actually not surprising that Pioli will end up on the AC bench very soon. Milan fans, and in fact everyone who has anything to do with the club, lost patience with him a long time ago. Now the club’s management has finally figured it out. Pioli will be sacked at the end of this season.

Pioli is leaving, who will replace him?

But the question remains who could be his replacement. In terms of speculations, one particular name is most often mentioned, which is Antonio Conte.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri have more names on their list. Mark van Bommel, Christophe Galtier, Paulo Fonseca or Julen Lopetegui have been linked with a move to the San Siro in speculation.

Pioli himself already has interested parties in Italy. Napoli or Bologna are said to be interested in his services. A pleasant surprise of the current season – Bologna are currently fourth and will be in the Champions League next season.
