The Italian club has had a controversial summer so far. After the departure of club legend Paolo Maldini as technical director and midfielder Sandro Tonali, the supporters now have reason to rejoice.
According to the latest information Fabrizio Romano has come up with, they are finalising the transfer of young striker Noah Okafor, who arrives from Salzburg.
The 23-year-old Swiss international played 32 games and scored 10 goals during the past season. The transfer is expected to cost a maximum of €14 million.
The Italian club’s management has the footballer closely scouted, as AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli himself requested his arrival last year.
The player has a medical scheduled for Saturday and then the transfer should be officially announced. The other reinforcement to the attacking ranks should be the Nigerian speedster Samuel Chukwueze.
He had a very successful season individually at Villarreal, during which he managed to record 12 goals and 13 assists across all competitions.
Negotiations between the clubs are now at an advanced stage. Personal terms with the footballer have already been agreed. The transfer fee is expected to be around €30 million plus possible bonuses.
However, the Italian club is not only dealing with arrivals. Left-back Fodé Ballo-Touré, who hasn’t exactly had a successful time in Italy, will leave the club after two years.
He moved to Milan in 2021 from French side Monaco, but the path to the squad simply didn’t lead through Theo Hernández. He was only given a total of 20 opportunities in Serie A and now he is expected to move to English side Fulham.
