So far, the Italian club is experiencing a contradictory summer. Above all, the events of the early summer months have given the club’s fans a hard time.
Following the departure of club legend Paolo Maldini as technical director, the club also lost one of its key players when Sandro Tonali transferred to English side Newcastle United. AC Milan, however, paid a decent sum of around 70 million euros for him.
Apparently, the club’s management decided to invest the money again in the club and in the last week they have completed the arrival of three players.
The first signing is Noah Okafor, who arrives from Salzburg. The 23-year-old Swiss international played 32 games during the past season and scored 10 goals. The transfer is expected to cost a maximum of 14 million euros.
The second addition to the attacking ranks should be the Nigerian speedster Samuel Chukwueze. He had a very successful season individually at Villarreal, during which he managed to score 12 goals and 13 assists across all competitions.
The arrival of Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from AZ Alkmaar has also been officially announced. AC Milan will pay just under €20 million for the 24-year-old, including any bonuses.
The footballer himself said that Xavi also called him at the last minute to discuss a possible transfer to Barcelona. The footballer immediately rejected the offer, saying that he had already decided to move to the Italian club.
Moreover, AC Milan are trying their best to complete another transfer. They have been pushing for a month for the transfer of 20-year-old midfielder Yunus Musah from Spanish side Valencia. The latter has so far rejected all offers.
