A truly unconventional presentation! Aprilia has also already presented its new motorcycle, will it be one of the fastest?

The start of the new season is getting closer and closer, with the vast majority of teams having already revealed their bikes. However, the rebranded Aprilia Racing brand has come up with a truly unusual presentation, and for them, things are changing for the next season.
Already, all the stables, except for the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, have unveiled their new motorcycles for the 2022 season. The last team to reveal the shape of a new bike was LCR Honda, which, however, presented only Alex Márquez’s machine.
This still leaves us waiting to see what Takaaki Nakagami’s bike will look like, as the Japanese rider will be supported by sponsor Idemitsu, unlike Márquez.
In any case, the tenth of February belonged to Aprilia, whose presentation you can see in the post above. The Italian manufacturer returned to MotoGP in 2015, joining forces with the non-factory team Gresini Racing after an eleven-year absence.
This allowed Aprilia to take advantage of the financial benefits that the non-factory teams received from organisers Dorna Sports, while already having a team of mechanics and paddock facilities. Now, however, their paths have diverged and Aprilia will be one of the factory brands from the upcoming edition. Gresini Racing thus becomes a satellite team of Ducati.
Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Viñales will ride for the factory Aprilia in the upcoming season. The former rode the stable to its biggest success since returning to the Moto GP world in the UK, finishing third and claiming a podium finish for Aprilia.
It was Márquez in particular who praised the technical performance of the new bike after testing. It should be noted, Aprilia was one of the fastest teams at the Sepang test.
“The biggest improvement I feel is in cornering, the bike is much more responsive and narrower. The mechanics have done a really good job, because it’s not easy to make a bike smaller these days. The electronics, the engine, these are all very big things,” praised Márquez for his work on the new machine, quoted by Motorsport.
Aprilia is really off to a good start in the new season and it is expected that they will at least repeat their podium success this season.
