A tribute to Hložek! Guardian ranks him among the best summer transfers considering the price

Adam Hložek will no longer run around Czech league lawns. The now 20-year-old striker has moved to Bayer Leverkusen and has now been ranked by the renowned Guardian website as one of the top ten transfers of the summer so far in terms of price tag!

Adam Hložek is already a Bayer Leverkusen player, but the transfer amounts vary. The 20-year-old striker has played in two friendlies, but has not entered the statistics.

Now, however, there is an honour that is sure to please. The Guardian website has ranked him among the top ten transfers of the summer so far in terms of price.

“This powerful and skilful top striker, considered in the Czech Republic to be the most promising domestic talent since Tomas Rosicky, has been on the radar of Europe’s biggest clubs since his senior debut for Sparta Prague at the age of 16,” reads the caption for Hložek.

So let’s not look for the biggest stars in the list, such as Gabriel Jesus, Erling Haalang or Darwin Núñez, who were not exactly cheap. So who do we find on the list?

Paulo Dybala (AS Roma free), Armel Bello-Kotchapu (Southampton), Marco Roca (Leeds), Mario Gila (Lazio) or Corentin Tolisso (Lyon free).

Also on the list are Alessandro Sorrentino (Monza), Sam Johnstone (Crystal Palace), Salih Özcan (Dortmund) and Fábio Carvalho (Liverpool).
