This is a good portion of fun. When the Champions League draw made the “efka” the group of death, all fans hoped for a thrilling drama until the end. And it was.

Dortmund, PSG, AC Milan, Newcastle. Clearly the toughest group in the Champions League. There’s no outsider in Group F who’s destined for fourth place. All teams can and want to think about qualifying for the spring.

Paradoxically, the best start in the group has been made by the team from the fourth basket. Newcastle survived several chances in Milan but took away a valuable point. But after that, they beat PSG 4-1 at home and were first in the table after two rounds.

It was PSG who started the game in a mixed bag. They beat Dortmund, but then lost at Newcastle. However, after a home win over AC Milan, they moved to the top of the group. The Rossoneri did not start the group well, drawing 0:0 twice and losing to PSG 0:3, so without scoring a goal they were in last place after the third round.

And Borussia? They are experiencing a great revival. After a bad start, a defeat to PSG and a draw with Milan, they managed to beat Newcastle on their pitch. And that brings us to last night’s round, which was a mess.

Dortmund beat The Magpies again at home and climbed to the top of the table with seven points. The Parisians, on the other hand, lost to AC Milan and dropped to second place with six points. Nerrazuri jumped to third place with five points and Newcastle dropped to last place with four points.

Who will be promoted?

At the moment Borussia are the closest to qualification, but after two rounds they were last with one point and it certainly didn’t look like they were going to qualify. What games are still to be played?

It’s not really possible to say if anyone has an easier draw on paper. After all, Dortmund face AC Milan at the San Siro and will close the group at home to PSG, where the tie could be decided. Should the yellow and black bring home a win from Italy, they are done.

PSG absolutely must beat Newcastle at home, otherwise things will look bleak for them. They go to Dortmund in the last round. AC Milan may have the best line-up of opponents. They will challenge Dortmund at home and then go to Newcastle.

Newcastle must not lose in Paris if they want to think about qualifying for the Champions League in the spring. And then the match with AC Milan would be extremely interesting.
