A stern little man on his way out of Indonesia! If it came to it, I wouldn’t resist returning to Europe, says experienced striker
Michael Krmencik finished his first season in Indonesia. The 30-year-old forward did not win a title at Persija Jakarta, but scored ten goals. What now? The most likely scenario is a return to Europe.
Michael Krmencik finished his first season in Indonesia. The 30-year-old forward did not win a title at Persija Jakarta, but scored ten goals. What now? The most likely scenario is a return to Europe.
Michal Krmencik’s career is so rich that it would make a book series. A few days ago, the former Viktoria Plzeň and Slavia Prague striker probably finished one of the chapters.
For the season ended in Indonesia, with Persija finishing in second place after falling short to PSM Makassar, a team they lost to by nine points.
Thus, Krmencik and his teammate Ondrej Kudela did not win the title. The team from Jakarta will have a chance next year, but probably without the Czech striker.
“The year in Indonesia was wonderful, it gave me a lot. I had a great time in Jakarta. I never experienced such a school of life anywhere, my family was very happy. We are staying in a super resort where everything is perfect.
But to be honest, if it came to it, I would not resist returning to Europe,” Krmenčík admitted in an interview with Sport.cz, who would like to show the whole world that he is a quality footballer.
Together with his agent, he will deal with possible offers in the coming weeks or months. They could come, but if clubs look at his last game, they will consider a lot whether they want such a player.
Krmencik scored a hat-trick, but he could have scored two more as he burned a huge number of chances. Still, he believes that if he gets a chance, he will show what he has.
“In Jakarta I realized that I love football. I’m 30 years old, I want to prove to myself and my family that I can still take it and that I can still score goals,” Krmencik added.
