Arsenal are off to a great start and it looks like Gunners fans can finally look forward to their favourites making a realistic challenge for the title. However, it is not impossible that the Emirates Stadium outfit could lose one of their stars this summer. Chelsea are monitoring the situation.

Premier League table after eight rounds? Arsenal, who have won seven games and lost only once, lead the way. It looks really great and it seems that the time when Gunners fans faced jeers may be over.

Of course, it is still early in the season, however, under Mikel Arteta’s leadership, the traditional unit is doing a good job conceptually, the team is still improving and made important transfers in the summer. In particular, Arsenal’s offensive line is really packed.

However, it will now be important for the north London team to secure the contracts of all important players. It is no surprise that other clubs are circling around them. According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea, for example, are now monitoring the situation with Gabriel Martinelli.

Martinelli is still only 21 years old. He is a technically well-equipped Brazilian footballer and his potential is really huge. For now, he is under contract until the summer of 2024 with an option to extend for another year to be included.

Chelsea and its coach Graham Potter would welcome the talented Brazilian in their squad, however, Arsenal are already negotiating a new improved contract to keep him at the Emirates Stadium, according to the British media.

However, it is not only the contract upgrade that will be important, but also the sporting situation. It is important that Arsenal actually continue to move forward and play regularly in the Champions League or challenge for the Premier League title.
