Sánchez saves Chelsea from disaster
Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sánchez made a significant contribution to the victory. Late in the first half, after a foul in the penalty area, he faced a penalty kick. Evanilson missed it in the 38th minute because Sánchez correctly judged the direction of the shot and cleared the ball.
This moment had a major impact on the course of the match, as Bournemouth had several dangerous chances, but Sánchez showed his quality. In total, he faced seven shots on target. Marcus Tavernier and Ryan Christie had other great chances, but only hit the bar.
Sancho assisted on his debut
Sancho, who is on loan from Manchester United and arrived at the last minute during the transfer window, made an immediate impact with an assist on Nkunku’s goal.
Chelsea moved up to 7th place, Bournemouth to 11th.
After this win, Chelsea moved up to 7th place in the Premier League table, while Bournemouth dropped to 11th. The match also made history for the record number of yellow cards – the referee showed a total of 14 yellow cards.
Bournemouth had a chance to remain unbeaten in their first four games of the season, which would be the first time in the club’s history. However, despite a promising start and several missed chances, they were ultimately no match for The Blues.
