A great, unpredictable fighter, says Blachowicz about Prochazka. Why did he accept the fight with Rakic?

Jan Blachowicz lost his championship belt in his fight with Glover Teixeira, so we won’t see his title fight with Jiri Walk yet. But he had positive words to say about the Czech, unlike Aleksandar Rakic, who the Pole will face soon.

Jan Blachowicz reigned as the UFC’s welterweight champion, however, he didn’t make the fight with Glover Teixeira and will have to wait to go for the title again.

Teixeira’s next opponent will most likely be Jiri Prochazka, who was also an alternate for this fight. What did the Pole say about him?

“Jiri Prochazka is a great fighter. He is very crazy and erratic, but in a good way. He’s very wild, but so far it’s working out for him. He’s a very good fighter. We’ve got a whole lot of very interesting fighters in Europe right now, not just in the welterweight division, and I’m very happy for that,” he said in an interview with Michael Bisping.

That’s quite a difference from what Aleksandar Rakic said in the same interview, who never turns down a chance to kick the Czech fighter.

“He’s playing at something he’s not. I think he’s fake. The way he goes into the woods and stuff like that. Okay, if it suits him, let him do what he wants. But I don’t like the fact that he’s playing samurai, but then he doesn’t act like it,” Rakic said.

It is Rakic’s fight with Blachowicz that we can look forward to next year. Why did the Pole choose such a difficult opponent for his comeback after a loss?

“I definitely didn’t want a comeback fight with someone lower in the rankings. I want to fight the best and toughest fighters. I don’t have time to pick any easy fights anymore. I don’t like that and I never have.

I wanted a strong opponent and the UFC offered me Rakic, so I took it right away. He’s agreat fighter who is at the top of our division,” he added.
