A great success for Czech golf! Lieser became the first Czech in history to win a Challenge Tour tournament

Fantasia! Ondřej Lieser became the first Czech golfer in history to win a Challenge Tour tournament. Thanks to this, he earned nearly one million crowns.

Ondřej Lieser made history. He was the first Czech to win the Challenge Tour, Europe’s second largest tournament series. In Cadiz, Spain, he put in a great performance, which ended with a score of ten shots under par.

However, Lieser did not get off to an ideal start in Cadiz. He started the first round with a score of +2, but then his performance picked up and he played the next three rounds under par (-2, -5 and -5). After Saturday, Lieser was tied for third place in the table.

Lieser had a great start to the final round and took the lead after three holes. He was able to hold on to his lead and eventually won by two holes over England’s Richard Mansell.

Thanks to this victory, Lieser received 32,000 euros, or around 850,000 crowns. He then moved up from 21st place in the overall seasonal ranking to an excellent 6th place.

Ondrej Lieser’s next tournament is scheduled for November 19, when he is expected to play the Challenge Tour Finals in Mallorca.
