Patrik Schick is in magnificent form in the German Bundesliga. Of course, this has not escaped the attention of former German international Stefan Effenberg, who ranked Schick among the ten best strikers in the world!
Stefan Effenberg has compiled a ranking of the best strikers for the news website t-online. He did not include, for example, Lionel Messi, but the German placed Patrik Schick in tenth place.
According to Effenberg, the best striker of the moment is Robert Lewandowski. There is no need to discuss his qualities, he is deservedly at the top of the ranking. In second place is the young Erling Haaland, who shows incredible shooting instincts for his age.
The first two players are from the German Bundesliga. Effenberg then went even further, stating that the pair are among the five best strikers in history.
“They are exceptional players. In my opinion, they are among the five best strikers in the history of the Bundesliga alongside Gerd Muller, Giovane Elber and Jupp Heynckes,” Stefan Effenberg told t-online.
The other three players in the ranking are joined by Real Madrid. Third Karim Benzema is currently playing for them, Cristiano Ronaldo left here three years ago after nine spells and Kylian Mbappé is a target of their long-term interest in the transfer market.
Sixth place then went to the in-form Romelu Lukaku, who came ahead of fantastic goalscorer Ciro Immobile, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah and Ajax’s Sebastien Haller.
The Czech Republic’s Patrik Schick rounds out the top ten. He has four league goals in five games this season and is the driving force behind Bayer Leverkusen’s attacking line.
