Jan Kuchta had the first chance in the fifth minute, but missed the back post by a few centimetres. Then the home team got into the game and there were more inaccuracies on both sides. The nervousness and importance of the match was evident.
In the 22nd minute, Srdjan Plavsic headed from a good position, but he did not hit the target. On the other side Godsway Donyoh hit the bar, Slavia were lucky this time.
One minute later, however, the score was changed. Donyoh found the centre and placed the ball under the crossbar.
In the 26th minute, Jan Kuchta had the equaliser on his feet, but he missed an excellent chance. At the end of the first half, Nicolae Stanciu had another shot from a direct kick, but he didn’t hit the target either.
After the change of sides, Daniel Samek shot from the penalty spot, but the home goalkeeper made an excellent save. Then Peter Olayinka headed but only hit the centre of the net. When Ondřej Lingr did not even challenge the Haifa goalkeeper, it was clear that the Seychellois would leave Israel empty-handed again.
Slavia dropped to the third place in the table with the 0:1 loss and the relegation is becoming much more difficult.
In the next round they will welcome the Israeli team in Eden, where they will need to win unconditionally, otherwise the Czech champion would no longer have promotion in their hands.
