The Formula 3 season is slowly coming to an end and the weekend’s battle at Monza in Italy is also about Roman Stanek. While the young Czech will be fighting for the championship title and the promotion to Formula 2, his compatriot Tereza Babickova will enjoy the opportunity to take a seat in the junior category on 17 September.

the 19-year-old will not be the only woman to ride in a car designed for F3. In addition to her, other W Series drivers Abbi Pulling and Chloe Chambers will also take part in the promoter’s tests. F4 and Formula Regional driver Hamda Al Qubaisi will complete the trio.

The race will be held at the famous French circuit Magny-Cours, where the only Czech representative Tomáš Enge started his short career in F1.

The test will be a two-day event, with Pulling and Al Qubaisi on the first day and Chambers and Babickova on the second.

“It is very important for us to ensure that more and more women join our championship,” said F3 director Bruno Michael in a press release. ” The aim of this test is not to compare their performance, but to give them the opportunity to show what is needed from a Formula 3 driver,” he added.

The Czech driver is the only one so far without a point in her debut year in the Formula W series. That is also why she is the last eighteenth place.

The women will next race in Singapore, along with Formula 1, which returns to the city-state after a coronavirus hiatus.

It is her experience in the F3 that could help the 19-year-old not only to improve in the women’s series, but also to possibly move up to the men’s ranks. And also to replace Roman Stanek, who is expected to move up to F2.
