A chance for Plavsic? First time in the nomination, according to Trpišovský, with great form

In the spring part of the last season, his performance went up slightly, but in the new season Srdjan Plavsic hasn’t got a chance in a big game yet. Against Rakow, he was at least nominated for the first time.
Plavsic was not supposed to travel to Poland. But a series of injuries forced the coaching staff to reach for the midfielder or defender. Ewerton is out after an intervention by Martin Cedidla, while Václav Jurecka is not sure what is going on.
Moreover, Lukas Provod and Yira Sor did not travel for the opening match of the fourth preliminary round, so Plavsic should be able to play. Probably in the middle of the pitch, where the Susians only have Petr Ševčík.
“Srdjan is in great shape. He shows it both in the preparatory matches and in training. He went through some problems, he came into the preparation injured, there were talks about his departure. He wasmissing from the roster for the double-header with Panathinaikos because of the transfer negotiations to Turkey, which didn’t work out,” said Jindřich Trpišovský to the club’s website.
Trpišovský requested the Serbian speedster last summer after he became a free agent following his commitment to Sparta. His initial season in the rivals’ jersey did not go well, he scored his first competitive goal in the extra-time round of the Fortuna Liga.
This summer Slavia has strengthened massively again, with the addition of goalscorer Jurečka, winger Ewerton, versatile David Douděra and Moses Usor from the B-team. All four reinforcements are thinking about the starting lineup.
That’s why Trpišovský didn’t surprise the fans at the pre-season press conference when he mentioned that the club is trying to sell Plavšič. That hasn’t been successful so far and Plavsic now has perhaps his last chance to convince the coaching staff.
