Jude Bellingham is one of the biggest gems on the transfer market. All the top clubs are vying for the world’s best teenager at the moment, and the 19-year-old has his pick of the bunch. Where will it be?
I wonder how many starts in adult football a 19-year-old can have? Given that one season consists of around 50 games, he could get over a hundred if he starts early.
But Jude Bellingham is a complete unique and natural phenomenon. He made his debut for Birmingham fresh from his 16th birthday and managed to play 44 games for the blue and whites. He then moved to Borussia Dortmund, where he has already appeared in 112 games, adding a further 22 starts for the England national team. In total, he has played 178 games.
And logically, his skills have not gone unnoticed. Several top clubs are vying for one of the world’s greatest talents, there is virtually no one who doesn’t want Bellingham.
An agile midfielder with perfect ball handling, he is quick, strong in the tackle and in the air, he works hard all game long and can make great tackles and get on the end line. Even at 19 years old, he has virtually no weakness.
Dortmund has already outgrown him, he even wore the captain’s armband in some matches, he doesn’t lack leadership either. So what will be his next destination?
According to The Sun, the current favourite to acquire Bellingham is Real Madrid, who have been interested in the 186cm tall midfielder for a couple of years. They are looking for a successor to Luka Modric and Toni Kroos and Bellingham is expected to be the chosen one.
Right behind is Liverpool, who would do anything to get Bellingham. The over-aged centre midfield desperately needs to be revitalised and how else but with the world’s best future centre midfielder.
But there is also strong interest from Manchester City and United, Chelsea and PSG. So Bellingham really have some luxury options to choose from.
The price for the England international should exceed 100 million euros, which all clubs can easily afford. And Dortmund will thus once again make great business by bringing Bellingham for 25 million euros.
