Jan Kuchta
Kuchta has been the most pleasant surprise of the third edition of the Nations League so far. Although he has performed decently at previous gatherings, he is only now making his mark in terms of goals. He followed up his goal against the Swiss with a goal and an assist against Spain.
With his black work and two hits Kuchta has probably definitely consolidated his place as the second national striker after Patrik Schick. It is with a question mark how they will work together, in any case the Lokomotiv’s top striker does not have to worry about a place in the nomination.
Jakub Brabec
His deployment in the three-man defence for the World Cup barrage match against the Swedes surprised some, but in the end he was a stepping stone for good performances in the national team jersey. Since that game, Brabec has not missed a single national team minute.
The position of the centre-half suits him, he is strong in the air, he is not afraid of the ball, good performances have added to his confidence, he simply reminds Brabec in his best form in the Viktoria Plzen jersey. And when he and David Zima are joined by a healed Tomas Holeš, the defence could be even better!
Michal Sadilek
Sadílek, as a proper captain of the last edition of the U21 national team, quickly settled in the A-team, but his firm place in the line-up goes hand in hand with a change in Jaroslav Šilhavy’s preferred formation.
Thanks to the three-goal system, midfielder Holeš has moved down a line and Sadílek is now taking advantage of the playing time in midfield. He and Tomas Soucek get along well and complement each other, it’s not very likely that this pairing will be touched in the coming years.
