A big blow for English football! Talented Matheus Pereira surprisingly moves to Al Hilal

Matheus Pereira was one of the best players for relegated West Brom last season. This has attracted interest from several leading clubs, including London West Ham. However, the talented Brazilian was eventually persuaded by the salary offered by Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia.

There was talk of Leicester or West Ham. However, the winger, whose game practically defines the talent of Brazilian footballers, will go on to showcase his skills outside the British Isles and Europe.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported the news on Thursday morning, calling the transfer a done deal. Pereira will therefore be in the Al-Hilal jersey from the new season.

And what kind of team is this? For comparison, a team with 3 million euros cheaper squad than Sparta Prague. Currently, it has a season in which it defended the title in the Saudi Professional League.

The stadium has a capacity of 67,000, which also suggests something about the financial side of the club. One of the team’s biggest stars, Sebastian Giovinco, is expected to earn £155,000 a week. Matheus Pereira has so far earned less than £40k a week at West Brom.

So it is more than likely that it is Matheus Pereira’s monetary valuation that has led to a decision that will bury his promising career for at least the next few years.
