A bad first half cost Slavia points. They lost 1:2 at Feyenoord

Slavia failed to win the second match of the group stage of the Europa League, losing 1:2 to Feyenoord Rotterdam. In the first half, the home side were clearly better, but after the change of sides they tightened up the game and defended the three points.

Guus Til had the first chance of the match in the seventh minute, but Aleš Mandous just made a save. In the twelfth minute the home team took the lead. Orkun Kökcü headed the ball in from outside the box and gave Mandous no chance.

Slavia seemed to have their heads in the booth, constantly making mistakes in the midfield, and in the 17th minute Bryan Linssen almost made it 2:0. In the 23rd minute, Linssen celebrated. He headed the ball into the penalty area.

The home side continued to be the better side for the rest of the first half, but never had another chance. Slavia were more active after the change of sides, but were inaccurate in the final stages.

It was not until the 63rd minute that Tomáš Holeš made a breakthrough in the air and Sšiovans were back in the game.

Slavia pressed, in the 75th minute Ivan Schranz shot from a volley, but the Red and White defence blocked his attempt. After that Feyenoord kept the game in hand, they tightened up and won the match 2:1.
