- It will be a very difficult match for both clubs

Stuttgart did not have an ideal start to the new competition year, but they are starting to get into shape in the last few games. In the Super Cup, they lost to Leverkusen, although they were still leading 2-1 with a few minutes to go.
However, Patrik Schick equalised in the 88th minute and Bayer then dominated the penalty shootout. Stuttgart subsequently lost to Freiburg 1:3 in the first round of the Bundesliga, then drew with Mainz 3:3.
Other league matches went very well for the German team – Mönchengladbach (3: 1), Dortmund (5: 1). In the last round, despite a red card, Stuttgart drew 2: 2. Stuttgart also had a solid performance in the Champions League, but lost to Real 1: 3.
They are the paper favourites against Sparta. Coach Sebastian Hoeness knows that it will not be easy against the Prague team.
Stuttgart coach praises Sparta: It’s clear that they are doing a good job
“Sparta is a team that has been doing really well lately. I have heard praise for us from Prague and I can only return it. It is clear to see that they are doing a really good job at Sparta. After all, the first game (3:0 win over Salzburg) showed that. We have a very difficult task ahead of us,” Hoeness said at Monday’s press conference.
“They started the season well. They play good football and are very well organized. They play with a lot of intensity and they try to go straight forward, but at the same time they can also show a certain amount of toughness. We have to prepare for a dangerous opponent who has very fast players.
“But we feel very good at the moment. We know how strong we can be. It will be all about us, about being absolutely ready and having the right attitude,” the Stuttgart coach added.
