AC Milan have changed their coach before the start of this season. Paulo Fonseca became the new Rossoneri manager, but he did not enter the 2024/25 season well at all. There is now strong speculation that the former Dortmund coach will replace him at the San Siro.

  • New AC coach Paulo Fonseca has not made a good start to the new season
  • There is considerable speculation about his dismissal
  • Zlatan Ibrahimovic already has a replacement lined up in case of failure against Inter

Four games, five points, only one win and tenth place in the table. This is AC Milan’s entry into the new Serie A season. First came a 2-2 draw with Torino, then a downright embarrassing loss at Parma (1-2), followed by a draw at Lazio Roma (2-2).

However, all these results have a common denominator, namely a terrible performance. A notable exception was the match against Venezia, who AC beat 4-0 at home.

However, after the recent Champions League match at home against Liverpool, speculation is coming, and it is a big one. The Rossoneri went down 1: 3 after a toothless performance, the fans also made it known to the players after the end of the game.

And if Milan don’t succeed even in the weekend derby with Inter, someone will take away this terrible record. Specifically, according to the latest reports, it will be current coach Paulo Fonseca.

As reported by Sky Sports, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who serves as an advisor to the American owner at the San Siro, has reportedly already scouted a replacement.

Will Terzic lead AC Milan?

Former Dortmund coach Edin Terzic could be the replacement. Based on Italian media reports, the 41-year-old German coach is said to be ready to take over AC immediately.

Terzic left the Borussia bench after last season, which he led to the Champions League final and was one step away from the Bundesliga title, and is now a free coach.

He also watched Tuesday’s Champions League match against Liverpool in person in Italy and is the top candidate to win the AC coaching chair.
