Tuchel criticized Kim
Thomas Tuchel didn’t hesitate to criticize the performance of the Korean stopper at the press conference. First, he made a move on Vinicius too early, he was too aggressive. Unfortunately, it was another mistake on the second goal.”
Tuchel reacted first to Real Madrid’s first goal, when the star Vinícius got through after a pass from Toni Kroos. The Brazilian’s move into midfield lured Kim out of his position and he then ran into the open space, in which situation no one could intercept him.
Here, however, we come up against the behaviour of the entire Bayern defence. On the other side, we could see several times that Rudiger and Nacho stepped out like Kim, but the free space was covered by another player, mostly Tchouameni, or the defence shifted to avoid creating free space for runs.
Before Real’s second goal from a penalty, it was Kim who fouled Rodrygo. Here again, the main role was played by Vinícius, who dribbled two Bayern players before passing to Rodrygo, and if it hadn’t been for the aforementioned foul, Rodrygo would have had a golden opportunity.
Ancelotti criticised Bellingham
Like Tuchel, Carlo Ancelotti did not spare any negative words: “Jude Bellingham did not play to his standard today, but that goes for the whole team. Bellingham then had cramps after 60 minutes, so I had to substitute him.”
The England international is not in the best of form at the moment. He even scored against Barcelona in El Clásico after a two-month wait. Like Manchester City, the Englishman was rather invisible against Bayern. Madrid’s big club is currently being dragged down by players other than Bellingham.
The Englishman has received a 6.9 rating from SofaScore, making him almost the second worst player in the entire team. Only Lucas Vázquez has received a worse rating and Ferland Mendy has also received a 0.1 point worse rating. Bellingham recorded just 61 touches with the ball and did not record a single shot attempt.
