The Lakers dominated every quarter of the game
In the game Los Angeles Lakers vs Clevelenad Cavaliers (116:97) the home team was able to take care of the third team of the Eastern Conference. They dominated all quarters of the game and gradually increased their lead to the final 19 points.
The home team was again led by 39-year-old Lebron James, who scored 24 points for the Cavaliers. He also had 12 assists and 5 rebounds. He had a relatively good shooting performance from the field, converting 10 of his 18 shot attempts, but he also committed 5 turnovers. With a 45-33 record, the Lakers jumped to 8th place in the Western Conference and only confirmed their rising form ahead of the playoffs as they won 9 of their last 10 games.
Nikola Jokic again recorded a triple-double
In the Denver Nuggets vs. Atlanta Hawks (142:110) the defending champions didn’t allow any surprises and held the reins of the game firmly in their hands from the very beginning. Denver scored another win, while Atlanta, which is already assured of making the playoffs, fell 36-42.
Denver had six scorers with at least 10 points, while Nikola Jokic recorded his 25th triple-double of the season with 19 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists. The Nuggets’ top scorer, however, was the recently excellent Kentavious Caldvell – Pope with 24 points.
The Hawks also had 6 players with double-digit points, but no one scored more than Clint Capeli’s 19 points, and they were losing from the start. The Nuggets made it clear that they are ready for a full title defense before the playoffs.
Vit Krejci again came off the bench and spent over 25 minutes on the floor. However, he scored only 3 points on 1 three-pointer from 2 shooting attempts. He added 5 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 assists to his stats.
