Jokic’s triple-double wasn’t enough for Denver to beat the LA Clippers, Atlanta couldn’t beat Dallas with Krejci in the lineup
Even another heroic performance by Jokic was not enough for Denver to win against the Los Angeles Clippers. Czech NBA player Vit Krejci came off the bench for the second time in a row, but even his 4 points didn’t help Atlanta win against the Mavericks.

Nikola Jokic recorded his 24th triple-double of the season
In the Los Angeles Clippers vs. Denver Nuggets (102:100), another great performance by Jokic was not enough for the defending champions to win. Jokic recorded his 24th triple-double this season. This time he put 36 points in the Clippers’ basket, added 17 rebounds and dished out 10 assists to his teammates.
However, the home team confirmed that he is very successful on the home floor and was very lucky at the end of the game. The home team was without Kawhi Leonard, so the shooting baton was taken over by the experienced Paul George, who scored 28 points for the Nuggets.
He was followed by James Harden with 20 points, plus Russell Westbrook came off the bench after surgery. In 23 minutes on the floor, he contributed 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams won the 1st and 2nd quarters in no uncertain terms, with the score (49:53) in favor of the home team at halftime, and in a very evenly matched game, they didn’t let the victory slip away.
Atlanta was not able to keep up with Dallas
In the game Dallas Mavericks vs Atlanta Hawks (109:95), the upset Hawks had to bow down to the home team this time. Mainly because they couldn’t contain the Irving – Doncic duo, who scored a total of 51 points for Atlanta.
Atlanta is already assured of a playoff berth. This is also thanks to the great last games, for example, when last week they took on the best team in the NBA Boston twice in a row. Czech national team player Vit Krejci came off the bench for the second time after being assured of the playoffs.
After making thirteen consecutive starts in the starting lineup, his minutes on the floor are dwindling. This time he spent almost 15 minutes on the floor and scored 4 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds.
Recently, Krejci set a personal best with 18 points after converting all 6 of his 3-point attempts, setting a new Czech NBA high.
Dallas, however, had their last game firmly in hand, controlling the game for virtually the entire game. The Texas team was led by Kyrie Irving with 26 points and 12 rebounds, followed by the league’s top scorer Luka Doncic, who didn’t break the 30-point mark this time, but scored 25 points.
