Lavezzi is hospitalized. The former Napoli and PSG striker is believed to have overdosed on an unknown substance

Not so long ago, he was on the European pitches in the jerseys of Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain. Nowadays, former striker Ezequiel Iván Lavezzi has a serious health problem.

According to the Argentine website TN, Ezequiel Lavezzi is currently hospitalized in the Zabala sanatorium. The former Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli star is said to have taken an overdose.

Meanwhile, these are not the first complications for the man who retired from professional football in 2019 in the jersey of the Chinese club Hebei.

At the end of last year, we already reported that Lavezzi had been stabbed in his own home. The 38-year-old Argentine is thus in hospital again within a short time.

The Olympic champion from Beijing is now alleged to have overdosed on an unknown substance, after which he ended up in intensive care and is now undergoing detoxification. However, according to his son’s statement on Instagram, the substance is not supposed to be narcotic.

“My father is fine and is receiving treatment, stop making up things that are not true, ” said Tomás Lavezzi, the son of the former attacker, who wanted to put an end to all speculation.

Lavezzi had a rich career

Lavezzi began his rich career at Argentina’s Boca Juniors. He made his first foray into European football in a Genoa jersey. However, fans from the Apennine Peninsula know him primarily from Napoli.

After five seasons, he then moved to the French capital, where he played for PSG for the next four years. Each time he celebrated winning the title.

In 2016, Lavezzi then headed to China, where he also experienced the most goal-scoring season of his career. At the age of thirty-two, he scored twenty goals for Hebei.
