The question is whether that will be the case after this winter transfer window. Because if Mbappé does not leave now in the winter, his contract will expire at the end of June this year and PSG will get nothing for him. And that is not a very appealing prospect for the French giant.

Reportedly, the Spanish big club is preparing that very last attempt and if they fail to reach an agreement with Mbappé, they will simply focus on other players in the transfer market.

In any case, as Mbappé has stated in the last few dozen hours, he hasn’t actually made up his mind himself. In his words, he is now focusing on the club, not his situation.

“I haven’t decided my future, I haven’t made any decision. Nobody is talking about my situation inside the club, it’s not a current topic. We have an agreement with president Al Khelaifi that protects both sides. In 2022, I only knew my decision in May,” said Mbappé, whose words on the X platform are quoted by renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.

In conclusion, we can add that if Mbappé did decide to join Real Madrid, he would have to significantly discount his demands. The LA Liga giant has offered him €25 million a year in recent months, roughly a third of what he is taking in Paris.
