Where to watch Burnley vs Liverpool?
Tuesday’s match of the 19th round of the Premier League will offer a clash of two teams in different forms and with opposite ambitions. While the home side are primarily looking to save themselves, the visitors are attacking the league title after years of struggle. The Reds travel to Turf Moor Stadium, the match will be played on 26 December from 18:30 and will be broadcast live on Canal+ Sport.
Burnley are struggling at home
While Turf Moor was impregnable last year, Burnley have won only one of their nine home games at the ground this season. Still, the last five rounds have marked some progress, with the Clarets picking up seven points in them. That’s three points more than in the previous 13 rounds.
Liverpool’s attack is floundering
West Ham’s top five in the Carabao Cup, but otherwise Liverpool’s attack is looking a bit shaky. They didn’t score a single goal against Manchester United, and one against Arsenal. And they went five on two Gunners defenders in the second half. Still no goal out of it.
Burnley vs Liverpool odds
The Burnley bet seems at least interesting at 7.28 after the weekend’s results, with the visitors on offer at 1.42. A draw at 5.25 makes sense for those not fully convinced of the Clarets’ improved form.
Betting Tip – Handicap: Burnley +1.5
Given Burnley’s improved performances and results, it seems essential to try Burnley at the +1.5 handicap at a nice 1.82. This means you win if Burnley win, draw, but even a goal down is enough. It’s a neat way to win the ticket even with a close Reds win, which of course can come given the quality of the squad. At the same time, after Christmas and a busy schedule, we can expect slower players to come on, which is why I think the first goal will fall between the 16th and 30th minutes.
