Crisis of Barcelona continues. Not having won a third game in a row, the top of the table may rebound unpleasantly
Barcelona is not having the best of times. It hasn’t won a game for the third time in a row and has only managed to do so four times in the last ten games. On Saturday, they lost points at the Estadio Mestalla after a draw with Valencia.

Barcelona failed to win again
Last season Barcelona won the title and seemed to be back on top. It brought in three elite reinforcements in Ilkay Gündogan, Joao Félix and Joao Cancelo and announced an assault on the Champions League, from which it has dropped out of the group twice in a row.
Barcelona, however, have been a bit sluggish since the start of the season. It was still able to collect results, but the performances were not good. And that has caught up with them over time.
Currently, the Blaugranas have been waiting for a win since December 3. They have played three games since then, twice coming away with a defeat and on Saturday they drew.
First, Barcelona fell short at home to Girona, then lost to Antwerp in the Champions League. And when it wanted to fix its taste at the weekend in Valencia, it rather made the club even more bitter.
The start of the game was already not good for the visitors, they gave a very lukewarm impression. But in the 55th minute, Félix sent Culés into the lead and it seemed that the Catalans would keep it together. But in the 70th minute, Hugo Guillamón scored a beautiful goal, playing with Barcelona’s defence to equalise at 1-1.
Losing the lead
Barecelona are currently in third place with 35 points. The first Real Madrid has four more points and a match to play, Girona is even on 41 points. Thus, if the miracle of this season beats Alavés at home, it will already be ahead of its neighbor by 9 points.
And that would be an embarrassing loss for the defending champions. Girona can still be expected to drop some points, but in the case of a Real win, a seven-point loss to their hated rival would be very unpleasant.
Moreover, Barcelona have won only four times in their last ten games. It has also lost the same number of matches and has also scored two draws. And there is already speculation in Spain that Xavi’s position is not as solid as it might seem.
