According to multiple sources, Real Madrid are reportedly looking to acquire two of the best strikers currently on the planet. Will Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland become part of the Los Blancos in the future?
In the unforgiving realm of football transfers, Real Madrid are proving to be a force determined to bring the biggest stars to their team. According to Spanish newspaper AS, whose information is quoted by the Daily Mail and Eurosport, the big club will try to bring Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland in the summer.
Indeed, recent reports suggest that Real Madrid have carefully structured their finances and have set aside a staggering £342 million as part of a potential transfer budget. This is to be split between a solid £111 million in reserves and up to £231 million in secured loans.
It is Diario AS, a reputable Spanish sports daily, that details Real Madrid’s strategic manoeuvres and talks of a £68 million reduction in annual wage costs compared to the previous summer, along with a remarkable 17% increase in overall revenue.
This financial reorganisation has thus prepared the club to comfortably accommodate any superstar for the next few years. Moreover, Mbappé could come completely for free, unless he signs a contract extension at the French big club.
Real Madrid would save money by doing so and could therefore focus only on Mbappé’s salary. However, the saga regarding his transfer to the Spanish giant has been going on for an unhealthy amount of time and understandably loses credibility. This too, for now, falls under speculation.
Real Madrid want to bring Mbappé with Haaland, but…
Both star players are unimaginably important to their clubs at the moment. So while Real want to bring in Mbappé and Haaland in the next summer transfer window, given the complexities involved, even a giant of that stature has bitten off too big a bite in this case.
Haaland is understandably a highly sought after commodity in the football market. But the exit clause paves the way for his possible departure. Real Madrid’s interest in the Norwegian is long-standing. And it is marked by previous attempts and the exit clause that is to be activated in the coming summer.
Haaland, however, is happy at Manchester City and also reportedly still enjoys playing under acclaimed coach Pep Guardiola. So it is and will be a very tough nut to crack for Real Madrid.
