David Pastrnak scored a hat trick! Not a goal this time, but an assist. In the game against Montreal, the Canadiens avenged their week-old defeat and won 5:2.
Pastrňák had a big part in it, as he assisted on three goals for the Bruins and was deservedly named the second star of the game. Pavel Zacha also did well and once again managed to score his 6th goal of the season.
“We remembered what happened the last time we played Montreal a few days ago. We wanted to avoid a similar scenario. We managed to enter the game well, that was the basis. It was one of our best games of the season. We were in control for the whole 60 minutes, we never took our foot off the gas,” Zacha said after the game.
The sixth goal moved him into third place on the club’s scorers list. Even higher is the striker with the number 88 on his jersey. Of course, he dominates the club statistics. And he’s doing well from a league point of view too. He’s currently in fourth place, but just one point off the top of the competition.
Pastrňák’s current season totals stand at 27 points on 11 goals and 16 assists. In addition, the star forward has extended his point streak to six games, most recently coming up empty on November 2 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. And the Bruins? They rule both their Eastern Conference and the NHL!
But Slovakian talent Juraj Slafkovsky also had a very good performance, scoring 2 points on a goal and an assist. He scored both of his team’s goals.
the 19-year-old forward has collected 2 goals and 3 assists in 18 games so far. Hopefully, the game against Boston will kick him into a better performance.
Now the Bruins have a tough series of games – Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers, Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers.
