The ageless Lebron James scores his 108th triple-double

Lebron James had 28 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 1 block in the LA Lakers vs. Sacramento Kings (110:125). It is his 108th career triple-double.
This triple-double is also significant for James from a historical point of view, as he became the second oldest player in the history of the competition to achieve it. The record is held by Karl Malone, who was still 2 years older.
James scored his first triple-double in his 21st NBA season, breaking away from Jason Kidd in 5th place in the historical table. He is now ahead of Nikola Jokic, who also recorded a triple-double a few days ago, but with serial number 109.
However, he didn’t prevent the Lakers’ home defeat. His traditional teammate Anthony Davis didn’t have his day either, as he contributed only 9 points in less than 35 minutes.
However, the joy of the Lakers fans was spoiled by the Kings shooters, especially the visiting star Domantas Sabonis, who scored 29 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists.
And to make matters worse, James hit his 2,282nd successful three-pointer, putting him in 8th place on the history charts ahead of Jason Terry.
The magic mark of 40,000 points in the regular season
It’s already very real that Lebron will surpass that mark. So far, he’s at the 38,923 point mark. Thus, with his average of 24.5 points per game this year, it looks like some 44 games. If, of course, his health and scoring potential hold up.
