Erik ten Hag couldn’t take the defeat against Copenhagen, in the post-match interview he put all the blame on the referee

Wednesday’s Champions League schedule has one of the craziest games ever. Manchester United fell in an important match in Copenhagen, which did not go down well with coach Erik ten Hag. In his post-match interview, he blamed the referees.

Copenhagen kept the 3 points at home in the final standings after a heartbreaking 4-3 win. Youngster Roony Bardghji scored the winner in the 87th minute. However, the joust was again not without many questions on the part of the referees.

The key factor was the sending off of striker Marcus Rashford in the 42nd minute, which was highly questionable. Coach Erik ten Hag commented on the match in the post-match press conference and did not make the fans too happy. He put virtually all the blame on the referees.

“We played very well until the red card, but it changed everything. We conceded 2 goals that should never have been scored, it’s disappointing,” the Dutch coach is clear.

“The decisions against us were not just today, we are dealing with them in many other games. That’s just the way it is. But the season is long and I believe that one day it will all turn around. As for the red, for me it was a very tough decision,” continued the Hag.

“The 2 goals in the first half should not have stood. The first was clearly offside, there was a player in front of Andre Onana. And the second one? What are you going to do about it? ” he added.

The loud complaining by managers about the referees seems to be a new trend lately. Most recently, Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta made a similar confession after a controversial derby loss to Newcastle United. He commented on the situation as a ” complete disgrace and disgrace”.

Group A of the millionaire’s competition is getting really messy. Apart from Bayern Munich, who are sure to qualify, all 3 remaining teams could be in the eighth round.

To the chagrin of the Red Devils fans, their favourites are in last place and, what’s more, they have no easy task ahead of them.
