Well done! Jiri Kulich scores first career hat trick and leads AHL scoring
Just as he finished last season, he started the new one. Jiri Kulich is off to a great start, scoring four times in three games and leading the entire AHL in scoring. Will an invitation from Buffalo come soon?

Jiri Kulich had a great AHL playoffs this spring. He scored 22 goals and added 24 assists in 62 games this season, but in the playoffs he scored 7 goals and added 4 assists in 12 games.
There was some talk about whether Buffalo would keep him on the first team next season. In the end it didn’t happen, the 19-year-old forward returned to the farm, not with his head down, but with a lot of motivation.
He had an assist in the first and the second game, and scored the winning goal in the second game against Toronto’s farm team to make it 5:4 in overtime. He scored a hat trick in the last game and again against Laval Rocket in overtime.
With four goals, Kulich is the top scorer in the AHL, but he also leads the entire competition with six points.
It was also Kulich’s first hat trick in his adult career. Before going overseas, he played for the U20 team in Chomutov, where he went to Karlovy Vary and had a breakthrough season.
He expects the same this year. He may be a little unlucky that the Sabres have a lot of competition on offense, in other organizations Kulich might have been skating on NHL ice by now.
So he’ll have to wait longer for his chance, but if he continues in the same fashion, it’s bound to come soon.
