Mourinho to Saudi Arabia? The Special One has spoken out about his future
José Mourinho may currently be the coach of AS Roma, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have his own ideas about what his future could look like. The Portuguese strategist reportedly sees himself in Saudi Arabia one day.
José Mourinho may currently be the coach of AS Roma, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have his own ideas about what his future could look like. The Portuguese strategist reportedly sees himself in Saudi Arabia one day.
Coach Mourinho currently has no certain future. AS Roma have had one of the worst starts to a new season in the club’s history.
The Giallorossi are currently in thirteenth place in the Serie A table, having accumulated eight points in their seven games so far.
This is for wins against Empoli and Frosinone and two draws in games against Salernitana and Torino. However, especially painful were the heavy defeats against Genoa (1: 4) or at Verona (1: 2).
Against AC Milan, the Romans did not create anything to really strike from for most of the game. So AS is doing well at least in the Europa League, where it leads Group G together with Slavia Prague.
In any case, as you can read Mourinho’s statement below, he will give everything until the last moments to the engagement in Rome. But he is understandably thinking about his own future. Will his steps one day lead to Saudi Arabia?
“I’m focused on Rome and I’ll give everything until the last day I’m here. Nobody knows the future, but I am convinced that one day I will be coaching in Saudi Arabia,” said Mourinho, who was quoted by Di Marzio.
“I don’t know when, but I’m absolutely sure it will happen one day,” he told The Special One, going on to talk about Cristiano Ronaldo.
“He was the first one to go there and change the perspective. The fact that the players who go there are not at the end of their careers but in their prime proves it. The competition is real in Saudi Arabia,” Mourinho concluded.
