Marcus Rashford crashed out after the Burnley game on Saturday night. The Manchester United players were returning to Carrington on the team bus after the sixth round Premier League game, but afterwards the players took their own route. And that’s when the accident happened.
Manchester United beat Burnley 1-0 in the sixth round of the Premier League on Saturday, with Bruno Fernandes scoring in the 45th minute. He was assisted by Jonny Evans.
The Red Devils finally won after three unsuccessful matches. Before that, they lost to Arsenal (1: 3), Brighton (1: 3) and Bayern Munich (3: 4) at the start of the group stage. They are currently eighth in the Premier League table.
Manchester United have picked up nine points in their six matches so far in the English top flight. They are three points behind at least fifth place, the last place guaranteeing European Cups.
After the match at Burnley, the whole team returned to Carrington by bus, after which the players went home in their private cars.
However, striker Marcus Rashford’s journey was complicated when the England international accidentally collided with another car.
Although there was considerable damage to his car, Rashford, along with the other driver involved, managed to escape uninjured and although police officers arrived on the scene to remove the crashed car, no ambulance was required.
The 25-year-old crashed his £700,000 Rolls Royce. Although this caused Rashford significant damage, he has other great cars in his collection – a £280,000 McLaren 765 Long Tail and a £350,000 Lamborghini Urus Performante.
Rashford understandably received many messages afterwards. But he subsequently told fans that he was fine and had suffered ‘only’ material damage.
