FC Viktoria Plzen vs. Tobol: Preview and betting tips

Viktoria Plzeň won their first match against Kazakhstan and defeated Tobol Kostanay 2:1. In the rematch, however, they must confirm their role as favourites and fight their way into the Conference League. What to bet on?

Viktoria had a tough road trip ahead of them. In Kazakhstan, she had to fight with a long flight and time delay, which may have taken its toll on the players at the beginning.

The game was fairly even in terms of statistics, so the first goal was waited for until the 73rd minute, when a centre from the right side was cleared by Chorý and Cadu put the ball in the net.

Lukáš Kalvach added Viktoria’s second goal in the 90th minute, but Tobol managed to reduce it to 1:2 in the ninth minute of the setup and make the rematch even more dramatic.

Plzeň postponed their match with Mlada Boleslav this weekend, which is understandable due to the difficult travel. The whole Czech football will benefit if Viktoria can advance to the Conference League and add some points to the coefficient.

Tobol played at home against table leader Ordabasa on Sunday and drew 0:0. Tobol have one match less than the other teams, after 19 games played they are in sixth place in the table and 12 points behind Astana in third place.

Pilsen will want to work hard in front of their home crowd and show their improved form compared to the beginning of the season. At the same time, they can’t rely only on defence and maintaining their lead, that would be a road to hell.

Therefore, at least three goals could be scored, just like in the first match. Tobol will have to open up the defence over time, which Viktoria could attack with quick counterattacks.
