Harry Kane has been one of the most frequently mentioned players across sports media around the world this summer. The Tottenham legend covets trophies but loves his club. He can’t wait to win trophies in a Spurs jersey, he has only one year left on his contract and Bayern Munich are interested in the player. The transfer saga is coming to an end.
Bayern Munich have experienced what it is like to play without Robert Lewandowski and have come to the realisation that without a world-class striker they can win the Bundesliga title but not the Champions League.
But it cannot be said that there are many such goalscorers on the market. The Bavarian giant has identified a Tottenham legend as a transfer target. Harry Kane has long been one of the best strikers on the planet, scoring goal after goal, whoever and wherever he plays.
But he’s unsellable. Spurs are rejecting all possible offers, even though the English striker is only under contract until next year and so there is a risk he will leave for free next summer. Bayern, meanwhile, have agreed to offer 100 million euros, a truly unprecedented sum for him.
Outside of Tottenham supporters, the consensus is that a player of such quality deserves to be fighting for trophies and that it is unfortunate that the English club does not want to meet him. However, it must be mentioned that Kane himself is not pushing for a transfer and is showing that he is a heartthrob.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, a decision on his future should be made soon. Reportedly, he does not want to transfer after the start of the Premier League. The first round is scheduled for this weekend.
Bayern must hurry to convince Tottenham. Spurs still have their last friendly against Barcelona on Tuesday night and Kane surprisingly did not travel for it. So it seems there is still hope.
The 30-year-old striker has 280 competitive goals and 64 assists in 435 games for Tottenham. Transfermarkt values him at €90 million.
