Prague Slavia chose Dynamo Dresden for their dress rehearsal to start the new season. From a marketing point of view, they couldn’t have made a better move as 4000 fans came from Germany and a great atmosphere is expected.

Dresden is famous for its fantastic fans. Even though they play only the third highest German competition, the 32,000-seat stadium is almost always sold out for home games.

Dynamo fans love to go out and not only for competitive matches. When they heard about the friendly against Slavia and the opportunity to visit Prague, they decided to take the Czech capital by storm.

They sold out their sector in no time, so Slavia’s management decided to give Dynamo the entire south stand. Thus, 4000 Dresden fans will arrive in Eden.

They have been gathering in Prague since Sunday morning, their first big meeting was on Old Town Square. From there they set off on foot to Eden, all dressed in the same yellow and black colours.

During the march, they chanted together and made it clear that they did not want to feel like guests in Vršovice. The Dresden fans’ march is slowly taking over the internet.

But even the fans of Slavia don’t want to be embarrassed. The stadium is expected to be almost sold out and Tribuna Sever is preparing an elaborate choreo.

While on the pitch Slavia, who have a dress rehearsal ahead of them and should be fine-tuned for the league, should have the upper hand on the pitch, it will be interesting to see who has the upper hand in the stands.
