French fullback Lucas Hernández is transferring from Bayern Munich to PSG, but he will not receive a warm welcome there. The ultras of the Parisians have sent the player an unpleasant but clear message!
Hernández’s transfer was only finalised a few days ago, but there are already too many question marks swirling around him.
For one thing, the move is being condemned in his former employer’s destination Bavaria, where they are not very sympathetic to the player’s decision.
After all, when the management brought him in for a hefty €80 million in 2019, they surely promised a much longer-term collaboration. However, it didn’t happen.
Hernández’s steady sojourn in the starting lineup took a dramatic downward turn after the defender struggled with a myriad of injuries across the past season.
This is one of the reasons why PSG acquired him for a relatively affordable €40 million. However, the player is unlikely to receive a warm welcome in the French capital.
After the transfer, a clear message was addressed to him by the club’s ultras, who warn Hernández in advance that he will not be welcomed at Parque Princes and will not feel the ovation.
Bek is a native of Marseille, the city of PSG’s arch rivals. Moreover, his father, Jean-Francois Hernández, also played for the local Olympique in the 1990s.
The Parisian fans are thus showing yet another of their many uncompromising attitudes towards players from their own ranks. They have already made several offensive comments about Lionel Messi and Neymar in the past season.
They have already lost the Argentine magician in France, the Brazilian star may be on his way out as well.
Even before the official introduction of Hernández by PSG management, the Frenchman may have some concerns about the transfer, which in almost all cases will not add much game performance to your matches.
However, the defender can burn the pond for the Parisian ultras with his quality play and convince them otherwise.
