What has been speculated for some time seems to be a done deal. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is expected to become AC Milan’s new signing in the next few hours. What are the details of his transfer to the Italian big club?
Nobody is bored in Milan, although it has been in a negative sense so far. Especially, of course, because of internal matters that have not left many AC fans calm.
But now, finally, there is good news, in the form of the arrival of a new player. We’ll have to wait for official confirmation, but according to a respected and trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano, it’s almost done.
Midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is expected to become a new signing for AC Milan in the next few hours.
As Romano has already revealed via his twitter account, the transfer fee is expected to be €16 million, plus millions more in bonuses.
The London native is set to serve as a replacement for the Rossoneri for Sandro Tonali, who recently left for Newcastle United.
No further details have been confirmed yet, with AC entering the final stage of negotiations with Chelsea, where the transfer of Loftus-Cheek is the one that will be fine-tuned. However, according to Capology, the 27-year-old Englishman was earning over £6 million a year at Stamford Bridge.
Loftus-Cheek at Chelsea…
The most likely future AC player is a Chelsea offspring, but he went on loan to Crystal Palace and Fulham during 2017-2021.
It wasn’t until the end of May 2021 that he settled permanently at Stamford Bridge. In that time, he played 155 games for the Blues, scoring 13 goals and 18 assists. In a Chelsea jersey he won the Europa League, the UEFA Super Cup, the Club World Cup and last but not least celebrated winning two titles.
